HOPE Africa to Award 5 Scholarships in June 2012:HOPE Africa is partnering with Beyond the Boroughs Scholarship Fund to award five deserving students with monetary scholarship awards to be used towards their undergraduate or graduate tuition. The selected students will meet the following requirements:
- A student of recent African decent. Either student or student's parent must have been born in Africa.
- Acceptance to an accredited four-year college, university, or accredited graduate school in the United States.
- G.P.A. of 3.0
- Completion of a Beyond the Boroughs scholarship application.
Events:
Hope Africa's Founder James Ihedigbo will be the guest speaker at at UMASS Amherst's Spring Football Invitational hosted by The Association of Diversity in Sports. The event will provide local high school football teams the opportunity for offseason improvement in a team-unifying atomosphere. A portion of the profits raised from the event will graciously be donated to HOPE Arica. The event will take place on April 21st from 10am-4pm.
