Houston, TX;: On Wednesday, February 1, Buffalo Bills Saftey and former Superbowl Champion , James Ihedigbo will host his Super Bowl Scholarship event at Grace’s Restaurant on Kirby in Houston, TX.

The event will featured food, drinks, music, live and silent auctions along with multiple current and former NFL Players, teaming up to raise funds to assist students in the greater Houston area with their financial needs as they embark on their college endeavors.

Ihedgibo launched his foundation in 2007 and carried these community efforts in Baltimore and Detroit, helping raise money for scholarships for African students heading to college. The money raised at this event will go to educational scholarships for students in Houston to help them further their education beyond high school.

“Throughout the year, my foundation continues to do events like these so we can raise funds and help students of African decent here in the Houston area,” says Ihedigbo. “At the event this year, we will also have students attending that are actually in our scholarship program and going to college right here in Houston furthering their education.”

The Hope Africa Charity was founded in 2007 when Ihedigbo was drafted to the NFL. James wanted to use his new platform to further the dream of his father, which was a dream and goal of a higher education for not only his family, but others. Ihedigbo’s parents also created an opportunity for people in their home country by creating a vocational school in 2001 that continues to help and provide education those in Nigeria to day.

This Private event will be an upscale evening with our bar sponsored by Kettle One, Live and Silent Auctions and music throughout the night. Attendees will include professional athletes, celebrities, musicians and local business professionals. Dress to Impress as we launch Super Bowl week in Houston!
